Microblading $450 · includes mapping consultation and aftercare kit

What microblading is

Microblading is a hair-stroke brow technique done by hand. The artist uses a fine hand-held blade to place pigment just beneath the surface of the skin, one stroke at a time, following the direction your natural brow hair grows. Healed, the strokes read as individual hairs rather than a filled-in block, which is why microblading looks soft and dimensional rather than drawn on.

It is one technique within the wider category people call eyebrow tattoo. Powder brows, combination brows, and nano brows are the others, and they heal differently. The technique matters less than whether it suits your skin, so that is the first thing we check.

Is microblading right for your skin?

Microblading performs best on normal to dry skin. On that skin a bladed stroke heals crisp and holds for twelve to eighteen months.

Oily skin is a different story. Oil pushes pigment out of a bladed channel faster, so strokes tend to spread and blur into a soft shadow as they heal. If that describes your skin, two other services will usually serve you better:

  • Nano brows, $600. Still hair strokes, but drawn with a machine needle. Crisper on oily skin and lasts two to three years.
  • Powder brows, $450. A soft shaded finish instead of strokes. The most forgiving option on oily skin.

We assess your skin at the consultation and will say so if we think microblading will not heal well on you.

Who microblading suits

  • Sparse or patchy brows that need a natural-looking fill
  • Normal to dry skin
  • Anyone who wants hair-stroke realism rather than a powdered, made-up look
  • First-time permanent makeup clients who want a subtle result

What it costs

Microblading at Perfect Line is $450. That covers the full brow design consultation and shape mapping, a custom pigment blend matched to your natural hair and skin tone, the hand-drawn strokes, and an aftercare kit with written instructions.

What the appointment looks like

A first session runs two and a half to three hours, and most of the early part is not tattooing at all. It is mapping. We measure your brows against your facial proportions, draw the proposed shape in pencil, and adjust it with you until you are happy. No pigment goes in until you approve the shape on your own face.

Topical numbing goes on for twenty to thirty minutes before we begin and is refreshed throughout. Then the strokes are built up layer by layer, and we check symmetry and shape together before you leave.

Healing

For the first three days your brows look darker and bolder than the final result. Between days four and seven they flake, and the flakes must be left alone. Between days eight and fourteen the colour fades noticeably and can look patchy, which is normal. From about day thirty the true healed result is visible. We assess the healed brows at four to six weeks, which is when a touch-up is done if one is needed.

Before you book

Avoid blood thinners such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and fish oil for 48 hours beforehand, and skip alcohol for 24 hours. Stop retinol, acids, and chemical peels over the brow area two weeks out, and keep the area out of the sun. Eat before you arrive so your blood sugar is steady through the appointment.

Frequently asked questions

How much does microblading cost in Los Angeles?

At Perfect Line microblading is $450. That includes the brow mapping consultation, a custom pigment blend matched to your hair and skin, and an aftercare kit with written instructions.

How long does microblading last?

Usually twelve to eighteen months before it needs refreshing. Oily skin, sun exposure, and retinol or acid skincare over the brow area all shorten that. Normal to dry skin holds strokes the longest.

Is microblading right for oily skin?

Often not. Oily skin pushes pigment out of a bladed stroke faster, so the strokes soften and blur as they heal. If your skin runs oily we will usually suggest nano brows or powder brows instead, and we will tell you at the consultation before anything is drawn.

Microblading or nano brows, which is better?

Both give hair-stroke brows. Microblading uses a hand-held blade and suits normal to dry skin at $450. Nano brows use a machine needle, hold crisper strokes on oily or combination skin, and last two to three years at $600.

Does microblading hurt?

We apply professional topical numbing before we start and refresh it throughout. Most clients describe it as light scratching, and brows are among the more comfortable areas in permanent makeup. You can ask for more numbing at any point.

How long is the appointment?

Plan on two and a half to three hours for a first session. Most of the early part is mapping and approving the shape, not tattooing.

Can you fix old microblading?

Often yes, after a consultation. Faded, warm-toned, or uneven previous work can frequently be reworked, sometimes with nano strokes rather than a blade. If we cannot improve on what is there, we will tell you rather than take the booking.
