What Is Microblading?
Microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow technique that uses a fine, hand-held blade to deposit pigment into the upper layers of the skin — creating individual, hair-like strokes that are virtually indistinguishable from natural brow hair. The result is full, defined, beautifully shaped brows that last 1–3 years.
At Perfect Line in Los Angeles, microblading is performed by Master Artist Yu-Jin Lee — a 15+ year veteran trained in South Korea, certified internationally, and recognized as a senior judge at Asian beauty competitions. If you've been searching for microblading in Los Angeles that truly looks natural, you've found it.

The Process at Perfect Line
Consultation & Shape Design
Your appointment begins with an in-depth consultation. Yu-Jin maps your ideal brow shape using professional measurement tools, accounting for your bone structure, facial symmetry, and natural brow hair. Nothing begins until you approve the design.
Numbing
A topical numbing cream is applied for 20–30 minutes before any work begins. Most clients describe the sensation as mild pressure or light scratching — the majority report minimal to no discomfort.
Microblading Strokes
Using a sterile, single-use blade, Yu-Jin creates precise hair-like strokes following the natural direction of your brow hair. Each stroke is deliberately placed. The full process takes 90 minutes to 2 hours.
Aftercare Guidance
Before you leave, you receive detailed aftercare instructions. Following them is essential to achieving your best healed result.
Men's Eyebrow PMU · Perfect Line
Healing Timeline — Week by Week
Days 1–3 · Initial Intensity
Brows appear darker and more defined than the final result. Mild redness and tenderness are normal. Keep the area clean and dry.
Days 4–7 · Peeling Begins
The skin begins to flake and shed. Do not pick or scratch — allowing natural shedding preserves pigment underneath. Brows may look lighter or patchy during this phase.
Weeks 2–3 · The Ghost Phase
Brows may appear very light or seem to disappear. This is completely normal — pigment is settling beneath a fresh layer of skin. Color will resurface over the following weeks.
Weeks 4–6 · Your Healed Result
By week 6, your fully healed microblading result is visible. Strokes look natural, colors are soft, and the brows feel entirely your own.

Microblading Cost in Los Angeles
In Los Angeles, microblading ranges from $350 to $900+ depending on the artist's experience and studio. At Perfect Line, microblading is $450 — performed by a master-level international artist. Touch-up sessions are available separately at $100–$250 depending on timing.
Considering that skilled microblading lasts 1–3 years and eliminates your daily brow routine, most clients consider it one of the most valuable beauty investments they've ever made.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does microblading last?
Typically 1–3 years depending on skin type, sun exposure, and skincare routine. Oilier skin types may see faster fading. Annual touch-ups maintain the result beautifully.
Does microblading hurt?
Topical numbing cream is applied before the procedure. Most clients describe it as light scratching or mild pressure. The majority report minimal discomfort throughout.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
Avoid alcohol and caffeine 24 hours before. No retinol or chemical exfoliants for 1 week prior. No tanning or sun exposure. Review our full Pre-Care guide for complete instructions.
What's the difference between microblading and an eyebrow tattoo?
Traditional tattoos use a machine and go deeper into the skin — often resulting in a blocky appearance that turns blue or green over time. Microblading creates realistic individual hair strokes that fade naturally over 1–3 years.
Can I wear makeup after microblading?
Avoid applying anything directly on the treated area for at least 10 days. After healing, makeup can be applied normally — though most clients find they no longer need it on their brows at all.
