Most lash lift training assumes a fine, flexible lash. Thicker, straighter lashes behave differently. They fight the shield, they kink at the base instead of curving, and they drop the curl within a fortnight. If you have booked a lash lift before and walked out thinking it barely took, that mismatch is usually why.
The Korean method exists to solve exactly that. It uses larger silicone shields so the lash has room to bend along a wide arc rather than being folded over a small one. Processing times run longer and are timed to the thickness of your actual lash rather than a fixed clock. Each lash is placed individually and slowly, so nothing crosses or clumps against the shield. A keratin step closes the service and returns condition to the lash after the bonds have been reset.
The finish is deliberately not a dramatic curl. It is a lift that opens the eye and holds its shape as the lash grows out, which is what makes it wear well over six to eight weeks instead of looking crimped for two.

Tint is performed in the same session as the lift rather than as a standalone service. There is a practical reason for that. The lifting solution opens the lash cuticle, so pigment takes more evenly and lasts longer when it follows immediately. Tint deepens lashes to a rich black or brown-black and gives a mascara-like effect for the life of the lift.
What the appointment looks like
Plan on about an hour for a lift, or seventy-five minutes with tint. You lie down with your eyes closed for the whole service, and most clients find it restful enough that they doze. There is no glue, no weight added to the lash, and no downtime afterwards.
The only real aftercare rule is to keep the lashes dry and untouched for the first 48 hours while the bonds finish setting. After that, wash your face normally. Mascara is fine from day three, though a non-waterproof formula will preserve the curl longer, since it is the removal of waterproof mascara rather than the mascara itself that wears a lift down.

I have monolids or short Asian lashes. Will a lash lift work?
Yes, and it is one of our most-requested services. The key is shield size: a monolid lash lift uses a larger, gentler shield so the lashes are not pushed into the lid. Done correctly it opens the eye visibly without changing your eye shape. Lashes as short as five millimetres can grip the shield.
Does a lash tint come separately?
Tint is done together with the lift rather than on its own, because the lift opens the lash cuticle and the tint takes more evenly in the same session. It adds $20 to any lift and deepens the lashes to a rich black or brown-black for a mascara-like effect.
Will a lash lift damage my lashes?
Not when performed correctly. A proper lift breaks and reforms disulfide bonds without weakening the lash shaft. Damage shows up when processing runs long or lifts are stacked too frequently, so we ask for a minimum of six weeks between services.
Can I wear mascara afterwards?
Yes, after the first 48 hours. Use a gentle, non-waterproof formula. Removing waterproof mascara degrades your curl faster than the curl would fade on its own.
